Human herpes virus-8 (HHV-8) now known as Kaposis sarcoma-associated herpes virus (KSHV) as a probable causative agent of Kaposis Sarcoma (KS) was put forth when it was first detected in KS specimen in 1994. Since then many investigators have confirmed the association of HHV-8 and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)-associated KS. This study was done to review the original research aimed at assessing the presence of HHV-8 in AIDS-associated oral KS and other oral lesions....
