The study intends to look at the outcome differences in the treatment of otitis externa with oral antibiotics. This is a prospective non-blinded randomized comparative study conducted on treatment of acute otitis externa comparing local ear drops alone versus a combination of local with an oral antibiotic for acute otitis externa on a total of 73 patients coming to ENT OPD Manipal hospital Bangalore.
