The Goh region, located in the southwest of Cote dIvoire, is an area whoseeconomicactivityprimarily relies on agriculture, which in turnheavilydepends on climatic conditions. Consequently, fluctuations and changes in climate have a significant impact on cropproductivity. To betterunderstandtheseconsequences to find solutions, a series of studiesspanning 30 years on temperature trends has been initiated. This one (1980-2010) is the first. This researchaims to analyze changes in temperatureextremes in the Goh area. The assessment of theseextremeswascarried out using the RclimDex software to calculateprecipitation indices. Fromthisstudy, itemergesthat the sequences of heatwaves (WSDI) have increased to the detriment of cold spells (CSDI). Similarly, relatively warm days (TX90p) have increasedcompared to relatively cool days (TX10p). Relatively warm nights (TN90p) have alsoincreasedcompared to relatively cool nights (TN10p). The gap betweenannualaverages of Tmax and Tmin, or diurnal temperature range (DTR), has widenedduring the observation period (1980-2010). The study of the progression of the variouscalculatedtemperature indices has clearlyrevealed global warming in the Goh region.
