In this present work, a statistical approach based on Taguchi techniques and finite element analysis were adopted to determine the influence of sheet thickness, temperature, coefficient of friction and strain rate on the formability of cups from AA1080 aluminum alloy using warm deep drawing process. The successful conical cups of 1.5mm blank thickness were obtained with operating conditions of 300oC, temperature; 0.05, coefficient of friction; and 500, strain rate.
