The aim of thisstudy was to investigate the growthparameters of Japanesequail (Cortunixjaponicus) reared in Cote dIvoire. The aim of thisstudy was to improve the zootechnical performance of thisspecies. The study was conducted at the Societe Agropiscicole de la Me in Adzope, Ivory Coast. A total of 150 white, black, and isabellaquailsweremonitoredfromhatch to 9 weeks of age. Resultsshowedthat 20.74% diedduring the study. The white phenotypeisassociatedwith high mortality. The live weightaccording to the age of the birds. At 7 weeks, the white phenotype was heavier at 245.12 5.13g compared to 227.00  4.74g and 225.63  4.74g, respectively. The effect of sex on thisparameter was significant (p < 0.005). The individualdailyfeedintakes of the quailsduring the finishing phase were 29.49  1.6, 24.85  1.85 and 26.01  1.38 g/subject/day for the white, isabelle and black phenotypes, respectively. During the fatteningperiod, the white quailsconsumed more foodthan the otherphenotypes. The white phenotypeshowedhigher values for morphologicalparameters: Wings pan, beaklength, body length, thoracicwidth, and weight, all recorded at 8 weeks of age.
