Several randomized studies have shown that percutaneous closure of FOP during stroke cryptogenic would reduce the risk of recurrence. The diagnosis of FOP is based on the diagnosis of FOP is based on transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (ETO) as well as on the transcranial Doppler (TCD). Out of the standard indication (<60 years, AVC <6 months, large FOP or FOP/ASIA ), the closure of FOP rely on a collaboration between a cardiologist, neurologist and a sonographer.
