Data mining (sometimes called data or knowledge discovery) is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information, which gets exposed to other parties during data mining process. Privacy preserving data mining technique has been introduced with the aim of protecting sensitive information of an individual. A variety of methodologies has been developed for this privacy preserving data mining such as hiding data, hiding knowledge (Rules), hybrid technique. The idea of PPDM is to hide sensitive information from unauthorized access and at the same time preserving utility of the information. In this paper Iam going to present the review of different privacy preserving techniques which will be used during data mining process to maintain efficiency and utility of the information.
